Productomschrijving

The plant may have brown spots on the leaves. These are growth scars and cannot be prevented.

The Ficus is currently one of the most sought-after plants. When you purchase this Ficus, it is possible that the green houseplant will drop some leaves in the beginning. This is because it has to get used to its new environment.

Care & tips Ficus Lyrata

Fortunately, the Ficus Lyrata is not a difficult plant to care for. However, the Ficus is sensitive to a new environment. We recommend not moving the plant too often. Is the plant growing to one side? Then turn it a little every day without moving it, so that the leaves around it get the same amount of light. In the summer months, the Ficus can be given extra plant food for additional nutrients.

Water requirements of Ficus Lyrata

The soil of the Ficus Lyrata should always remain slightly moist. We advise to water it several times in the beginning, rather than a lot of water at once. This prevents an excess of water that the plant cannot process. In the summer, the plant often has a higher water requirement because it uses more moisture. The Ficus appreciates regular spraying of the leaves. Has your plant been repotted? Always use a moisture meter or water meter!

Light requirements of Ficus Lyrata

The Ficus Lyrata loves sunlight and needs it to stay beautiful and healthy. Place the plant preferably as close to a window as possible. If the Ficus produces few new leaves, this is often a sign of too little sunlight.

Is the Ficus Lyrata poisonous?

Yes, the Ficus Lyrata is poisonous when ingested. The sap in the stems can also cause skin irritations. So be careful if you have children or pets.

How will my Ficus Lyrata be shipped?

This houseplant is delivered in a cultivation pot. All our houseplants are shipped in specially designed shipping boxes. Thanks to the unique interior, the plants are firmly in the box and cannot move. Houseplants do not mind being in a dark box for a day. This way we ensure that your green friends are delivered to your home in top condition.
